On September 21, 2022, at the Korea Footwear and Leather Research Institute located in Busan, the footwear manufacturing technology exchange seminar was held between two Research institutes in Korea and India through IMG Plastec. This seminar was held to discuss shoe manufacturing technology exchange and cooperation projects between Korea Footwear and Leather Research Institute (KIFLT) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea, including IMG Plastec, and Bahadurgarh Footwear Research Institute (BFDS) under the Ministry of Small and Medium Business of India. The member companies also joined the seminar to share market trends and technical information from both countries.

IMG Plastec developed an experimental polymer foaming facility this year and has been actively networking with shoe manufacturing research institutes and manufacturing companies, starting with a supply contract with a Korean researcher. Through this technology exchange meeting, we introduced highly advanced Korean footwear material manufacturing facilities to the Indian Footwear Research Institute, and discussed in depth ways to expand the supply of cutting-edge footwear material manufacturing
